The Parade is on! Online!
It starts at 3 pm on Sunday, August 23.

Create your custom-made costume at home and record yourself dancing, singing, modeling and expressing yourself. Get family members to help. Show off your artistic style and send us the video, and pictures too. Go get busy! Start planning your costume today!

There are three trophies to win: Top Male Reveler, Top Female Reveler, and Top Mas Family.

Stella Hill

Princess Stella Hill  is a gentle Nigerian Canadian, who has great passion for promoting multicultural heritages in Canada, since her arrival.  She is the Deputy Executive Director of a charitable organization in Guelph; a Volunteer Board Director/Events Coordinator at Guelph and District Multicultural Festival Inc., an umbrella cultural organization for seven years, where still Events Coordinator to date; Founder/Publicity Secretary of Nigerian Canadian Association of Ontario, Guelph Chapter; the originator and presenter of Nigerian/African Traditional Ceremonial Fashion Showcase, at two African community cultural organizations in Kitchener for 10 years.

 

 As a result of her consistent volunteer and community social services in  Canada, she was given the following awards, and honour in the province of Ontario:

  1.     Fashion Queen – Bring On The Sunshine African Family Festival, Kitchener 2020;
  2.     Ontario 150 “Volunteer Service Award”, 2017; and,
  3.     City of Guelph “2010 Volunteer of the Year Award”.

Shaka Zulu

Shaka Zulu performed his brand of Drum, Dance and Fire extensively all over Europe including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Spain, Holland, Estonia and Italy. Now settled in KW, he coordinates the Drumming Village at the LINK Picnic Festival.

Gerima Harvey

Percussionist Gerima Harvey has been channelling musical prowess since infancy. He is a dynamic soloist and a member of many musical relationships. Today, he teams up with Shaka Zulu, Coordinator of the Drumming Village. This magical musical genius inspires everyone, everywhere.
